Meet Kailey...... she just finished her Bachelor Degree in Psychology at The University of Missouri! It seems like it wasn't that long ago that I was capturing Kailey's Senior pics from High School and now here we are...customizing and capturing special memories from her 4 years at MU!
Kailey, her parents, sister and best friend took me all around the beautiful campus of MU and we made sure to capture pics at all her favorite locations. The pics on the steps of Jesse Hall represent the 1st building she stepped into on campus as she started her time at MU.
The Quad ( the pillars) is the most popular spot on campus. You can find people studying, having picnics or playing catch on any given day. Many students hang out here and a lot of friendships develop at The Quad~
I also got to meet Harlan- the Great Pyrenees. He is a gentle giant and many students spend time petting and loving on Harlan! Kailey wanted to capture some pics with Harlan and he tolerated us well! My favorite is the Cap/Tassle pic where Kailey put her cap ON Harlan.... I quickly understood why everyone loves Harlan! He is so popular that he has his own Facebook page and Fan Club. Harry Harlan, in case you want to check him out!
Kailey really wanted to celebrate her 4 years of hard work and also document all that is going on in our World right now, so we had some fun with all the Covid 19 stuff too!
Kailey commented on what it is that she has learned during her time at MU..... "Mizzou taught me so much about myself, including how to love myself, be independent and how to fall in love with learning all over again. COVID may have made my time at Mizzou a little shorter than I had planned, but through that I learned to enjoy moments while I have them and embrace life as it comes to me. I have loved being part of the Mizzou culture and spending the past four years in Columbia. A part of my heart will always live here in the pillars, creeks and hiking trails."
The last location was a very special spot that Kailey hikes with her own dog when the weather is nice. It was by far my favorite location! It was sprinkling so we just decided to go with it and make the best of it!
I loved every minute of our time together, listening to all the giggles and hearing all the stories that they all were sharing about her time at MU. I ended our time together capturing a sweet family picture! Kailey may not get the graduation ceremony that she had planned on, but that did NOT stop this family from celebrating all of her accomplishments in their own way! Life throws us curve balls from time to time.... and it isn't about waiting for a storm to pass.... it is about learning to Dance in the Rain.
Congratulations on your AWESOME Accomplishment Kailey.......Go out and make your Mark on the world... I know you have such a bright future!
I am so honored that they asked me to make the trip and capture all of this for them!
